Build a virtual tour of an enviroment in Cinema 4D.

the process

Area 52 was inspired by Area 51, aliens, and Timon and Pumba. It was constructed because it offered a narrative element, and the easy building structure allowed exploration with lights, booles, and primitives while still meeting the deadline and criteria. 

the challenge

When it came time to render, I realized a fatal mistake. All the details, the lighting, and the continuous camera were too much for the computer to render. The solution: Render 100 frames (about 3 seconds) out of 2400 frames on one computer at a time since the computer could handle that. However, to speed up the process, the project file was opened on 24 computers-each set to render 100 frames out of the sequence. ex: 0-100, 100-200… The final rendering took four hours.
