Perfect Stick Figures
the assignment
In high school a friend told me, “I can’t draw anything. Not even a perfect stick figure.” Years later it got me thinking that stick figures are so much more liveley when they aren’t straight. However, there is a concept of perfect and the straight lines make it so. How boring.
To prove stick figures are better when not straight, I drew 100 stick figures.
the process
Taking a sheet of paper and drawing a bunch of stick figures. From there I picked the best/the most interesting and made them larger on a 9×12 in. paper, first in pencil then in marker. Lastly, the images were scanned into the computer and rasterized in Illustrator.

the challenge
The stick figures titles were an added challenge to increase typography skills. Everything was experimented with and drawn by hand.
